Dawn Herring
Here for you in your journey to birth on your terms.
“Dawn was an amazing child birth educator. The classes were extremely informative and fun. She provided my husband and I the confidence we needed to have the birth experience we were looking for.”
It All Started With Birth…
I started my business from the heartfelt desire to empower new Mamas and their labor partners for one of the most memorable experiences they’ll ever have, meeting their babies. This desire was seeded in my soul as I sat through my very own childbirth classes and feeling so empowered by the knowledge and understanding of the birth process, that I just knew I wanted to be able to give that same experience to other Mamas and their partners.
I trained with my very own childbirth education teacher, in the Happy Birth Way, an offering of classes that are designed to honor all birth preferences and locations. Whether you’re looking to have a home birth, birth center birth or hospital birth, these classes will leave you prepared, educated and empowered.
And then it became all about the postpartum period...
I had my babies very close together (12 months and 3 weeks apart to be exact) and looking back at my 4th Trimester for both pregnancies, especially after my second, I now know I had undiagnosed postpartum anxiety.
Through these experiences, lots of therapy, and learning how to love myself through these moments, I have become SO aware at how many other women suffer and struggle in the same ways. I became a postpartum doula, a woman who helps serve women and families after baby comes, in order to provide compassionate and understanding support and to encourage women to give themselves grace as they navigate being a new Mama.
I truly believe the way we experience those first few months (and beyond really) as a new Mama has a major impact on how we continue to show up in Motherhood in our lives, thus making this such a tender and impactful time for us. Support, compassion and understanding are the keys to having as empowered an experience as possible.
